The
electrical system is a very critical component in a home. Safety here is of ultimate concern. Your Inspector shall carefully
evaluate and inspect the following areas, but not limited to these items.
Service:

- overhead service, ground clearance, mast condition and drip loop/roof clearance
- panel box, properly secured, properly labeled, pointed screws, proper height, number of
shut offs required to switch off power, open spaces between breakers
- open panel box and check for deficiencies such as; improper
or no bonding, double lugging, missing knockouts, also inspect for sizing of wires to breakers, proper bushings,
proper grounding, and for antioxidants on aluminum connections. etc.

Outlets, Switches and Wiring:

verify branch circuit
wire type

verify Ground Fault
Interrupter Circuits

verify appliance
circuits for polarity and grounds

test dryer outlet
for polarity and ground

test all receptacles
for polarity and grounds

test and verify
all switches including voltage on dimmers

open junction boxes

check for improper connections, splicing

missing or broken fixtures

not properly grounded

non IC recessed can lights in contact with insulation
