Exterior components inspected include, but are not limited to:

- roofing materials; proper installation
and type
- roof jacks; properly installed
and sealed
- roof deflection
- chimneys; flashing, crickets (saddle),
caps, spark arrestors
- facial boards and eaves; rotting,
penetrations, condition
- brick and/or siding; cracks in
the brick and/or mortor joints, siding damaged or missing, step flashing, apron flashing
- windows; safety glass where needed, thermo
seals compromised, screens, calking, alignment, egress
- decks; joist spacing, stairs,
railings
- doors; weather-stripping, locks,
frames, caulking

- garage; framing (if no sheetrock),
overhead garage doors and openers
- gutters and downspouts; damaged,
termination, proper fall
- grade; proper drainage, standing
water, water stains on walls, flower beds, foliage around the building, trees
- walks and drives; unlevel, possible safety hazards
